Vogue September 2012

It’s their 120th anniversary issue and there is no one better to grace the cover then Lady Gaga.

Vogue’s 916 page September issue was released today I must say I approve! Lady Gaga photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in a Marc Jacobs hot pink dress especially designed for the cover gets me so excited to see what else is inside.

Do you approve?

Jonathan Saunders Fall 2011

I attended the Jonathan Saunders show for Fall/Winter 2011 at London Fashion Week. His use of colour, his silhouettes and his unique patterns are what made Saunders sales explode in the past two seasons. What will he do next?

The Next BIG Step

Former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld is starting her own magazine. The glamorous 57 year old left Vogue Paris in January 2011 leaving an amazingly  reinvented magazine behind her after ten years at the helm. Carine, who just published her own book, will certainly not disappoint. Her high fashion edge and Vogue Paris attitude mix well together. If she’s good enough for Vogue, she’s good enough for her own magazine. No title has been released yet, but the first issue of the quarterly magazine will appear on on shelves for the September issue next year. Don’t worry, this time it’s in English. Let’s Start the countdown.

David Koma

New Designer Alert ! Born in Georgia, David Koma studied at Central St. Martins when he moved to London in 2003. His graduate collection included  metal tubes placed on dresses to create interesting shapes. He was noticed by Celebrities like Cheryl Cole who wore an outfit on the X Factor, showing the world his amazing talent. Since then Koma’s sexy and strong shaped dresses have landed photo shoots in Vogue and appeared on the red carpet many times worn by Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Rhianna and Penelope Cruz. Now showing every season at London Fashion Week, the future looks bright for this rapidly growing brand.

The Investment

This season, make your investment piece Chanel’s gold sequined jacket (which I am completely in love with). Seen everywhere this month, including American and British Vogue. Wouldn’t you want the jacket all the editors love? Make it casual with a pair of jeans for day and throw it over a ball gown at night. You can’t go wrong. It may be a little pricey (£23,800), but it is guaranteed to be a show stopper, so don’t be afraid to go CRAZY!
