Every season a certain group of collections seem to stick out from the pack for the editors and buyers. Appearing in every store, every magazine and everyones conversation. They are known as the collections of the season; so here are the lucky chosen ones for Fall 2011.
Duran Duran, one of the coolest rock bands in the world, has forever been noticed for the models they put in their music video’s. From ‘Girls On Film’ to ‘Notorious’, back up dancers have always been pushed aside by the model. This time they have returned with yet another model filled video, but to our delight they have taken it to the max. Instead of starring in their own music video, the cast of Duran Duran have been replaced by SUPERmodels. Naomi Campbell as Simon Le Bon (vocals), Helena Christensen as Rodger Taylor (drums), Cindy Crawford as John Taylor (bass), Yasmin Le Bon as the guitarist and Eva Herizgova as Nick Rhodes (keyboards). The video follows the girls as they release their new album, make the music video and pose in Dolce and Gabbana for the cover of Harpers Bazaar. Watch the video here as you follow these fabulous models and their fabulous rock star lives, dressed in the most exspensive outfits from the Fall/Winter 2011 runway.
Here they are on the cover for the December issue of Harpers Bazaar out now.
Alexandra Burke shows her support for he young British designers as she stepped out in a Jonathan Saunders Fall/Winter 2011 dress at the X Factor live shows.

Here is how it looked on the runway when I attended the show in February.
Glamorous, luxurious and very Lanvin. That is just one way to describe Lanvin’s new kids line. The 25 piece collection, which is available in November, are like mini takes on the womenswear dresses that flowed down the runway for the Fall 2011 show. Now mothers and they’re daughters can match in style and taste. After all, the collection is based on the realtionship between Jeanne Lanvin and her daughter. Such a great way to bring a relationship even closer.
Go all out for Fall and stock your wardrobe with fur for the feet. Finally an open toed stiletto during Winter does not seem so crazy. Do not be afraid to indulge into bright colors, it’s time to draw attention to your feet.
Finally Alexander McQueen has started advertising. This really shows how Sarah Burton will bring the brand into the future. What’s next for the most talked about brand of the year?
The August issue of Harper’s Bazaar proved to be quite peculiar this month. Instead of casting models for their accessories shoot, they used…….Smurfs. Yes, Smurfs. While celebrating the Smurfs 3D movie and promoting one of Fall’s key colors – blue, it is also a message that thinking outside the box is in for Fall. Models are out, Smurfs are in!
